Introduction to the Beginners’ Pilates Course:

Welcome to the Beginners’ Pilates course! This series is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of Pilates, step by step, in a supportive and accessible way. Whether you’re brand new to Pilates or looking to refresh your understanding, this course will guide you through the basic movements and principles with clear instructions and modifications to help you progress at your own pace. Each class is 45 minutes long, and with every lesson, you’ll build confidence, strength, and flexibility in your body. Let’s begin this exciting journey toward better movement and mind-body connection!


BEGINNERS’ COURSE, CLASS NUMBER 1: Introduction to the Basics

In this first class, we’ll introduce you to the fundamental elements of Pilates. This session focuses on basic principles such as alignment, breath, and core engagement, which are the foundation of all Pilates exercises. The exercises are modified to be simple and easy to follow, ensuring you don’t have to pause too much for long explanations. You’ll learn how to connect with your body, moving with intention and precision. By the end of this class, you’ll feel more in tune with your body and be excited to continue your Pilates journey.


BEGINNERS’ COURSE, CLASS NUMBER 2: Building on the Basics

Class number two takes a step forward from the first, building on the foundational exercises and introducing more challenging variations. As you become familiar with the basic movements, this class will prepare you for more dynamic exercises that will continue to engage your core and increase your range of motion. You’ll also begin to develop strength and control as you explore new modifications and progressions to the exercises you’ve learned so far.


BEGINNERS’ COURSE, CLASS NUMBER 3: Introducing Signature Pilates Exercises

In the third class, we’ll introduce several new exercises and variations that begin to bring in some classic Pilates movements. This class is designed to challenge your coordination and balance, and you’ll work your way towards signature Pilates exercises such as the Hundreds, Spine Stretch, and Side Kicks. These exercises will help build stamina, improve posture, and continue to deepen your understanding of Pilates principles.


BEGINNERS’ COURSE, CLASS NUMBER 4: Challenging Movement and Control

Class number four is all about challenging your ability to move with control and grace. This session includes exercises like Roll Ups, Rolling Like a Ball, and Teaser prep, which demand strength, flexibility, and coordination. You’ll need to focus on pulling everything together to execute these movements smoothly and with purpose. By the end of this class, you’ll have a better understanding of how to move your body in space, while improving your overall body awareness.


BEGINNERS’ COURSE, CLASS NUMBER 5: Closing the Gap to Proper Form

In this fifth class, we’ll begin closing the gap between modified variations and the proper form of Pilates exercises. Exercises such as the Single Leg Kick and Front Support will be introduced in more detail. These movements will challenge your strength, stability, and control, helping you bridge the gap to more advanced Pilates work. We hope you’ll enjoy the new challenges that will build your confidence and prepare you for more complex movements in the future.


BEGINNERS’ COURSE, CLASS NUMBER 6: Stepping Up to the Next Level

The final class in this series is designed to be similar in level to our Basic Level Classes, with a key difference: a deeper focus on the details of each movement. This class will reinforce everything you’ve learned so far while providing more intricate explanations and demonstrations. By the end of this class, you’ll feel comfortable and confident enough to transition into any of our Basic Level Classes and continue progressing in your Pilates practice. You’ve made it through the beginner series, and now you’re ready to take on more!
