About
Amit Younger
Amit is one of the most experienced and respected Pilates teachers in the UK. He has been managing and directing Pilates studios and programmes since 2001 and training Pilates Teachers since 2005. Amit is one of the co-founders of yoopod– a leading website that offerd both Pilates and Yoga classes online. He is a sought after presenter, running Workshops, Master Classes and Retreats for Pilates Teachers as well as presenting in Pilates events in the United States, Japan and across Europe.
Amit holds a Pilates Teaching Certification from Body Arts and Science International (BASI) and was a senior faculty member for the organisation between 2005 and 2013 when he decided to focus on providing further education to the broader Pilates teaching community. He studies regularly with world renowned teachers to broaden and deepen his knowledge and understanding of the Pilates method and human movement potential.
Amit comes from the world of Performing Arts. His ten years dance career has taken him all over the globe, performing with various companies. His extensive dance training includes not only Ballet and Modern techniques, but also Pilates, Feldenkrais and other Mind-Body methods. In addition to being a dancer, Amit has performed as a Violinist and has taken part in professional Theatre and Opera productions.
My Mission
My mission is to make Pilates accessible to everyone, regardless of experience or background, and to teach the principles of safe, effective practice. Pilates is not just about physical strength; it’s an integral part of the wellness journey that fosters mind-body awareness, balance, and well-being. Through personalized guidance and education, I aim to help people learn how to practice Pilates properly, ensuring they feel confident, strong, and safe as they progress in their health and fitness. Pilates is just one element of a holistic approach to wellness, and I am dedicated to empowering others to embrace it as a tool for a healthier, more mindful life.
